DSC-Hey Bad News, I hear your writing a book
can you tell us a title and a release date?
BAD NEWS BROWN-My book is titled, 'I've got the
scrapbook, I'm in it for the Bank book'
I'm not sure when it will be released, I've been extremely busy
lately
but keep checking my new web site -
www.badnewsallen.com
for updates

DSC-Alot of fans may not realize this but
before you ever stepped in the squared circle you had an very
successful judo career you were an olympic Bronze medalist tell
us about that and what you liked better Pro Wrestling or the
Judo?
BNB-I liked Judo much more than wrestling, in
Judo it was real competition
and you won or lost based on your abilities not by some
promoter's whim
of the moment.
DSC-Do you have any funny or pleasent locker
room stories you would like to share ?
BNB-Karl 'Butch' Moffat aka "Jason The
Terrible", was just starting out as a
pro wrestler with Stampede Wrestling in 1983. He constantly
bragged
about how tough he was, he claimed he beat up a bunch of bikers
and that
his father and Abdullah the Butcher used to swim across Lake
Michigan
with one hand tied behind their backs. We all knew he was full of
shit
and he couldn't even beat his own bad breath.
Kerry Brown and I decided we would pull on him so we hatched this
story..
We were all traveling to Saskatchewan on Stu Hart's bus, I was
sitting
in the back, Karl was sitting in the front with Kerry and some of
the
other guys bragging about how tough he was, he carried a big
knife with
him and he was demonstrating how tough he was in his previous
knife
fights. Kerry Brown told him that if he wanted to get over in
this
territory, that he should make friends with me as he was
convinced that
I didn't like him. Kerry told Karl that if he wanted to get on my
good
side he should tell me how he heard about my son playing piano at
Carnagie Hall at the age of 4 and how great he was. I was
relaxing at
the back of the bus (eyes closed pretending to be asleep) so Karl
came
back and shook me out of my sleep, he started talking real loud
so
everyone could hear him, he said "I heard about you son
playing Carnagie
Hall at the age of 4" I asked Karl if he had his knife on
him, he said
"Yeah man sure I got my knife" I told him to give it to
me which he did.
I opened up the blade and grabbed him by the hair and stuck the
knife at
his throat and told him if he ever mentioned anything about my
son again
I would cut his throat. I told him my son lost his hands in a
lawnmower
accident. I asked him if he understood and he cried
"yes" I gave him his
knife back, he sat behind me and cried like a two year old, I
heard him
say "Kerry Brown sent me on a suicide mission" For the
next two days we
all ribbed the hell out of him.
DSC-Could you tell us a little about your
website?
BNB-My web site has just been redone, check
it out, it tells you a lot more
than the old one did. Same address -
www.badnewsallen.com -
my wife made this one for me.
DSC-If you could sit down and talk to a young
guy who's just trying to break into the business what exactly
would you say to him?
BNB-The most important thing is to work hard,
get in good shape and get
booked with as many independent companies as possible for the
ring
experience. Keep your pride, walk like a man and act like a man
and
don't let all the bullshit go to your head.
DSC-If you could go into WCW and have total
control and it was all on your shoulders to re-vamp the company
what would you do?
BNB-Get rid of all the old guys who shouldn't
be in the ring anymore like
Ric Flair and push the young new talent and get rid of guy you
can no
longer work with like Goldberg - who can't go any further. Go
back to
clean matches and clean finishes and stop trying to imitate the
WWF.
DSC-You have said in the past that "it
was hard getting your money from Vince Mcmahon jr where in japan
when you sign the contract that is what it is and that is what
you are going to get, recently i heard a interview with
"Dr.Death Steve Williams" and he stated the same thing
in japan thier not out to backstab you as quick as they are here
in the states. He also said he would rather work in japan any day
than in the states how do feel about that where would you rather
work?
BNB-Japan is where I broke into wrestling and
Japan is where I was always
treated with respect and honesty. Vince was, is and will always
be a
racist, back stabbing, egomaniac who wants to put himself over
and screw
the rest of the world.
DSC-How did Vince JR treat you,did you ever
want to come to blows with him like the Bret Hart?
BNB-Vince lied to me constantly, when I would
confront him he always told me
what he thought I wanted to hear and the second I turned my back
he
stuck the knife in it. There wasn't a day that went by during my
contract with him that I didn't want to kick his scrawny lyin
ass.
DSC-Do you think the WWF and Stone Cold have
ripped your Gimmick off of you as
far as looks and attitude?
BNB- ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DSC-Who is your favorite worker in the
business right now and why?
BNB-Chris Benoit, The Rock, Booker T, &
Christen & Edge. There are a few
independent guys that given a break, would be big stars like Gary
Williams, The Lozanski brothers, Tiger Khan and Greg Pawluk. They
are
extremely talented workers and serious about their art.
Thanks for taking
the time to talk to us and good luck with the book!!!
